How to reach your online audience so they can really hear your message

You have a lot of valuable information to share with your audience, but are they really able to hear you? Find out how to reach the right people online!

In this week's episode:

  • The social media environment is a very noisy place and it can be difficult to be noticed,  seen, heard and remembered over all of that noise.
  • You want to be a "scroll stopper!"
  • How can you set yourself apart from everyone else talking about (or selling) what you are on social media?
  • You must know your target audience and it's NOT everyone anywhere.
  • Your audience is actually a very specific group of people "living" online in particular places. (I give examples of this in the episode.)
  • Your audience may not be hanging out on social media very much at all--you must know the demographics of your target audience to know this.

LinkedIn vs. Facebook for Online Business Growth (part 2)

Continuing with the discussion of which social media platform is better for business growth, we look at four additional considerations when comparing LinkedIn and Facebook.

 In this week's episode:

  • Episode 69 (the one before this) is part one of this topic! Please be sure to listen to that episode first, because it covers three ways to look at Facebook and LinkedIn for your business.
  • This episode discusses three additional parts, more on hashtags and how to figure out which platform is better for YOU and YOUR business.
  • Hashtags can be used on both platforms, and they're brand new on Facebook, so the hashtag numbers won't be nearly as high as on Twitter or Instagram because they are so new; however, you will see how many accounts are using these hashtags at the moment on each platform by plugging in any hashtag in each platform's search. (I give data on #businessgrowth on each platform.)
  • LinkedIn has about 675 million monthly users, Instagram currently has one billion...

 In this week's episode:

  • If you have a business, you need to be on LinkedIn!
  • Save posts on LinkedIn and Facebook (strategically and with purpose)
  • Use hashtags on LinkedIn and Facebook, but these platforms may not be using the same hashtags at the same rate. (I detail how to determine this int he episode, which is the second part of this broadcast.
  • Use branded hashtags as well as content-driven hashtags.
  • You cannot own hashtags, but you can dominate them.
  • I provide much more information about hashtags in episode 70.
  • You can repurpose the exact same content, without penalty, on both LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Best practices state that you should really change your hashtags and/or post copy as you repurpose your social media content.
  • Most recently, I've used SocialBee.io and Buffer for scheduling social media...
