LinkedIn vs. Facebook for Online Business Growth (part 1)

It's important to know exactly where you should be spending your time online to grow your business, podcast and social media followers! Is LinkedIn or Facebook better?
In this week's episode:
- If you have a business, you need to be on LinkedIn!
- Save posts on LinkedIn and Facebook (strategically and with purpose)
- Use hashtags on LinkedIn and Facebook, but these platforms may not be using the same hashtags at the same rate. (I detail how to determine this int he episode, which is the second part of this broadcast.
- Use branded hashtags as well as content-driven hashtags.
- You cannot own hashtags, but you can dominate them.
- I provide much more information about hashtags in episode 70.
- You can repurpose the exact same content, without penalty, on both LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Best practices state that you should really change your hashtags and/or post copy as you repurpose your social media content.
- Most recently, I've used SocialBee.io and Buffer for scheduling social media posts.
- 80% of the time, you should be offering valuable content, for free, on social media.
- 20% of the time, you can "go for the ask" with a call to action.

- Both LinkedIn and Facebook have groups but they operate a bit differently. (I detail this in the episode)

- Don't put a file or product inside of your Facebook group without having any other access to it--Facebook accounts and groups do get shut down at times.
- Don't rely on things you DON'T own (social media).
