Bonnie, how do you ever sell anything if you don't make sales calls? (part 2)

This is part 2 to the question, "Bonnie, how do you ever sell anything without making any sales calls?" The answer to this question took up two episodes! Episode 82 is part two of the answer.

"Once again, what I'm doing should be selling for me. I shouldn't have to go to great lengths to get people to buy things from me.  If you have to jump through hoops yourself to get people to buy your things. That is just too much trouble.

-Bonnie L. Frank

Today’s episode is a continuation of Episode 81. If you haven’t listened to that episode, go back and listen because you'll hear why I really don’t like sales calls. Bonnie, how do you ever sell anything if you don't make sales calls? (part 1)

I get asked this question a lot, "Bonnie, how do you ever sell anything without making any sales calls?" The answer to this question took up two episodes! Episode 81 is part one of the answer.

“Well, people never like to be sold to, I certainly don't like to be sold to. So, I don't do sales calls. People don't like them.”

-Bonnie L. Frank

Today's episode was inspired from a question a gentleman asked in a Facebook group. He asked, “How do you ever sell anything if you don’t do sales calls?” Well, I get asked this question quite a lot because the way I do sales is so different from the way many people do sales. Seven years ago, when I was starting my business from scratch,  I had a tough time and interviewed 25 different coaches to possibly hire one myself in the future. You'll hear me explain what that was like and how it directly shaped my view on sales.

Today, as a business coach, I offer three types of calls. A business strategy call and...

Excuses, Rabbit Holes, and Resistance and WHY your online course or program won't sell

It's simple...but not easy. Your business isn't growing the way you'd like, you're not making the sales you want and here's the reason.

In this week's episode:

  • It's not that hard to create an online course or program, but what IS difficult is the marketing so it actually sells!
  • You must have the correct messaging for your audience.
  • You've got to know WHAT to say to them!
  • It's not you, it's not your product, program or service...it's the communication.
  • You must have the correct messaging and marketing for that particular course or program in order for that course or program to sell.
  • When there is a breakdown in your online communication, the sales stop...or never begin.
  • You very likely have a pretty good idea of who your audience is, but if you can't effectively communicate with them, the sales won't happen.
  • NO ONE is a "born salesperson."

Why being less visible may actually grow your online business

This episode was recorded during many of the Black Lives Matter protests and during the Covid-19 pandemic. It highlights how both personal and environmental events and experiences can affect you and what you can do to help yourself in the process.

Mentioned in this episode:

  • Sometimes I'm less visible online because I simply get tired of all of the posting and creating and selfie-taking.
  • But during other times, it the environment or certain events I experience that cause me to withdraw and become less visible.
  • The Covid pandemic and protests and riots and deaths are some of the reasons I've been less visible.
  • I cannot pay attention to the death stats from Covid because it affects me too much.
  • I'm an empath and empaths FEEL EVERYTHING.
  • I need to practice MUCH more self care right now so that I can rest the way I need to and grow my business the way I want to.
  • I had to learn the importance of self care the hard way. (I almost died.)

Are you on the list??

Aren't sure what to say or do on social media right now?

It is a very confusing and ever-changing world right now and many people are looking for guidance on how to navigate social media. This episode is my ideas and opinions.

This episode was taken from a live broadcast on Facebook that was simulcasted (broadcasted in multiple places at the same time) in five different places and immediately received loads of views organically and was watched lives in multiple countries.

In this week's episode:

  • It's completely understandable (and normal) if you're unsure about what to do or say on social media right now. Be gentle with yourself.
  • There are many perspectives all over social media right now in terms of social justice, Black Lives Matter, race relations, and more.
  • There's a lot of live broadcasts right now, too.

Are you wasting your time on Facebook, Instagram. Twitter or LinkedIn?

Not all social media platforms are created equal and it's important to understand which ones are right for your brand and your business. This week's episode comes from a live broadcast that I did on my Facebook profile and on one of my Instagram business accounts.

In this week's episode:

  • I referred to this report from Sprout Social in this episode.
  • The report above details where brands are planning on spending their time and social media dollars vs where consumers are planning to spend their time and dollars on social media.
  • Facebook STILL wins. Every time.
  • LinkedIn is "B ---> B" (Business to Business)
  • The fastest way to find out what's going on in the world is Twitter.
  • The fastest way to gain the attention of a brand is to shout them out (particularly in a complaint) on Twitter.
  • The fastest way to gain the attention of an influencer or a brand on Instagram is to shout them out on your instastories.
  • LinkedIn is a fabulous way to connect with other business owners and find joint...

Self care doesn't have to take a long time at all; in fact, each of these eight quick and easy self care strategies takes under three minutes--and most only take a couple of seconds!

 In this week's episode:

  • Each of the eight self care strategies I mention are ones I do each day--and ALL of them can be accomplished in three minutes or less!
  • My morning coffee has one tablespoon of collagen in it and my hair, skin and nails have never  better
  • I try to half my body weight in ounces of water a day (This is explained further in the episode).
  • Vitamin C helps keep the colds away and I take about 1500 mg daily and one of the ways I get it is like candy.
  • Because apple cider vinegar tastes so awful to drink, I get the benefits from two apple cider vinegar gummies or capsules each day.
  • I've written in my gratitude journal every day for over 500 days in a row. Each entry takes about three minutes and I detail how I do this in the episode.
