Coaching TRUTH: Being a successful coach isn't easy!

 

COACHING MYTHS:

  • It's super easy to make loads of money as a coach.

  • All coaches charge really high prices and get it because coaching is a high paying profession that anyone can do.

  • Hiring a certified coach guarantees that you're getting one of the best coaches out there.

  • Everyone needs a coach. 

  • Part of coaching is the must-have "money conversation" where you first let potential clients know how much your fees are and suggest many ways that they can come up with the money to pay for your coaching. (I NEVER do this. It's completely unecessary. All of my packages are on my website.)

  • You must do these to be a successful coach: (I am a successful coach without any of these.)

                             *Get professional photo shoots taken

                             *Have a uniquely coded one-of-a-kind website

                             *Lose weight, wear loads of jewelry, grow taller and wear high heels

  • Everyone who posts online about how much money they're making is telling the truth.

COACHING TRUTHS:

  • Coaching is extremely gratifying, especially if you get filled up from helping others grow.

  • Coaching others helps you grow both personally and professionally.

  • Coaching is easy to do anywhere, from any location, at any time.

  • Being a "certified" coach does not guarantee that you'll be a good (or successful) coach.

  • Coaching is wonderful for those who want to pivot into another industry as well as those who want to grow their coaching business while maintaining their full-time career. 

  • You really can coach from your couch in your pajama pants if you want. In case you're wondering, I do not do this, but I know coaches who do. 

  • Many coaches give up because they don't know how to run a business, not because they don't know how to coach.
